Italian organic cold-pressed olive oil of the highest quality. Olio Classico, extracted from the 13,000 olive trees grown on the family estates, has wonderful nutritional properties that are enhanced by the organic management of the cultivation.

Olive variety: Coupage of the olive varieties Carolea (approx. 60%), Biancolilla, Nocellara, Leccino and Frantoio.

Taste - short description: The organic Classico has an intense golden yellow colour with light green reflections. The bouquet is rich and enveloping with fruity notes of unripe tomatoes, bananas and apples flanked by hints of basil and parsley. Little pronounced bitterness and spiciness, absolutely harmonious on the palate.

This oil comes from the family business's own olive groves in the municipalities of San Mauro Marchesato and Scandale, in the hills of Marchesato Crotonese.

Best for > : The extra virgin olive oil Classico is excellent with seafood starters, chickpea salad, jacket potatoes, spelt soups, salmon pasta dishes, prawns in guazzetto, grilled squid, grilled poultry and goat cheese. In sum, an all-rounder.

The company: Azienda La Valle Tenuta : A traditional family business in its third generation since 1927. 

Already in the early 1900s, the first generation of the family started to cultivate olives. The passion to cultivate an area particularly suitable for the extraction of yellow gold, the tenacity to embark on a journey into the unknown and everything uphill have made the traditional company what it is today. 

It all began with the passionate and far-sighted signore Carlo Rota, who, together with his brother Salvatore, had the idea of milling the olives he produced himself. The idea of building a traditional mill with stone millstones took shape and in the centre of the small village in the hills of the Marquisate of Crotone, the two brothers saw their dream come true.

The small oil mill in the centre of the village is now a meeting place where farmers gather and wait patiently to take home the oil, the fruit of the olives they have cultivated so much over the last few months.  

The enthusiasm and passion for authenticity and tradition are passed down from generation to generation, the knowledge of this work is passed from father to son and from son to grandson, and now even the third generation is getting into this great love of olive oil.

Today the Azienda counts a remarkable 13500 olive trees. The technology has also been adapted to modern times, so that an optimal oil quality is guaranteed. 

The authenticity and quality of the products are maintained unchanged; the values and tastes have remained those of the ancestors. Passion and quality are the absolute strengths of the company.
