Merlot red wine, Description: Elegant Spanish red wine of clear colour. Fantastic balance between fruit and acidity. Excellent structure in the mouth thanks to ripe tannins. Flavours of red plum and ripe cherries with a slight earthy touch.

MANUFACTURING : According to traditional production and ageing methods, following the whole process from harvest to bottle. Final barrel ageing, 11 months in French and American oak barrels.

The bodega, the winery: A Spanish reference: the Pago de Tharsys winery is a pure family business owned by the couple Vicente Garcia (father of Valencian cavas) and Ana Suria. The bodega is located in the middle of the vineyards (Pago), which belong to the D.O. (Denominacion de Origen) Utiel-Requena. The winery's own vines are cultivated on almost 12 hectares. The special location of the cellar in the middle of the vineyard allows short distances, so that only a few minutes pass between harvesting and processing, thus avoiding pre-fermentation of grapes.

Organic viticulture: Soils and vines are cultivated by Pago de Tharsys according to the regulations of organic agriculture. No herbicides, chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilisers are used. Only natural resources and organic fertilisers are used, respecting the balance of the environment and contributing to the enrichment of biodiversity in the vineyard. The harvest is done manually in boxes of 20 kg and goes to the cellar in only 15 minutes. The best grapes are selected manually on a table and then processed.
