Special features "first harvest day": Olives used for the production of olive oil have an optimal harvest time, harvest day. The Soler Romero family has released a special edition of the First Day of Harvest oil, selecting the best olives from the first day of harvest to capture the most authentic flavours of the olive harvest. The oil has a green colour characteristic of the unripe olives. It is designed to shock you with the intense fruitiness of green olives with hints of fruits such as green tomato, artichoke, green banana and green grass. Its strong flavour starts milder in the mouth, followed by a progressive aftertaste of medium-high bitterness and a peppery finish that are in harmony with the intensity of the green fruitiness.

Producer: Soler Romero is a pure family business, founded in 1850 in the olive heart of Spain, near Jaen (Andalusia). In the early days, its activities were limited solely to the cultivation of olives. As part of a cooperative of 1400 members, the olives were processed into a mass product of inferior quality. In 2001, the company was separated from the cooperative in order to meet its own quality standards. With the aim of producing the world's best olive oil, they built their own oil mill. This allowed to control the whole process, from the cultivation of the olives to the extraction, bottling and storage of the olive oil. This control is indispensable to produce the best quality olive oil. Just as they were committed to the best quality, they also placed the highest value on sustainable and ecological cultivation. This led to the BIO certification in 2002. Today, the Soler Romero family is one of Spain's organic pioneers. With a cultivation area of about 600 ha, the Finca Cortijo El Tobazo is also one of the largest organic producers in the country. Tradition, generational know-how and the optimal geographical location allow the family to be very close to their claim of producing one of the best olive oils in the world.    

With this single-varietal Picual olive oil, the Soler Romero family demonstrates its traditional skills. Awarded several times by the international jury.

The single-varietal, deep green olive oil has a wide range of aromas. Among them fruity fresh grass, green tomato and artichokes. In the finale, a hint of a scratchy throat. All in all, a great, natural and fresh olive oil.

Taste: Good sharpness, pleasant bitterness, very fresh and fruity.

Perfect for salads and fish or with steak. Perfect for vegetables and cold dishes. Of course, olive oil is also suitable for any cooking or frying.
