The structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, the balance of Tempranillo, the inspiration of Syrah and the roundness of Merlot. The 18-month maturation in French oak barrels and subsequent refinement in the bottle round off the final result. It then unfolds all its elegance and harmony on the palate.

The blend of 40% Tempranillo, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 10% Syrah gives the wine complexity and character.

Description:

Appearance: Clean and transparent wine with high colour intensity, cherry red colour and cardinal rim, showing no signs of development and expressing its youth.

On the nose: pure and intense aroma with powerful mineral notes (graphite) and ripe fruit on a balsamic background. Swirling the glass reveals notes of fruit in liqueur, smoke and cigar box as well as roasted coffee and dark chocolate. A very complex wine with a perfectly composed bouquet.

Flavour: In the mouth it is very powerful, energetic, with a long finish. Pronounced, ripe and well-integrated tannins. Integrated acidity that gives freshness and emphasises the notes of ripe fruit on a characteristic mineral background.

Finish: Complex and intense, very pleasant and persistent aftertaste.
Food pairing: Excellent with red meat, mature cheeses and stews. Naturally also as a single drink for long evenings.

The bodega - the producer: Vinos de La Vina is part of an agricultural co-operative in the heart of Spain. It was founded in 1944. This speaks for tradition and many years of craftsmanship. The vineyards are spread over four family wineries. Of these, Bodega Venta del Puerto stands out in particular. The wine-growing region not far from Valencia was already appreciated by the Italian Medici. Very hot summers and very cold winters due to the territorial climate create an ideal climate for the prestige cuvées from Venta del Puerto. The wines we have selected were created by the well-known Spanish oenologist Jorge Caus Pertegaz.
