Escudero Becquer Signature TINTO Rioja 750 ml

Spanish red wine Bodega Escudero Becquer Tinto. Very elegant, round and soft red wine with distinction. Velvety with a mild acidity structure. Bodegas Escudero Becquer Tinto is a harmonious and well-balanced Spanish red wine made from the traditional Tempranillo and Garnacha grape varieties.

The wine is matured for 8 months in American and French oak barrels, which gives it a velvety texture and fine complexity.

Production / vinification: The vines for this great red wine grow on the southern slopes of Monte Yerga on loamy, chalky soils with plenty of pebbles. These characteristics give the wine its own personality, a character that expresses the uniqueness of the soil on which it grows.

Manual harvesting and careful selection of the individual grapes to guarantee the quality of the wine. No mechanical systems are used in the winery; gravity is the only transportation system used.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30ºC. Once fermentation was complete, maceration was extended for a further 10 days; after racking, the wine was transferred to American and French fine oak barrels, where it matured for 8 months and remained on the bottle rack for 12 months before being released for sale.

Description: The Becquer Tinto presents itself in the glass in a deep dark ruby red. The bouquet unfolds an intense aroma of black fruits. Velvety, tasty, with rounded tannins and a background with plenty of structure. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with a balanced acidity structure and a long, persistent finish. 

Recommendation: This elegant Rioja red wine goes very well with stews, roast red meat and mature cheese. It is excellent to enjoy on special occasions or in everyday life.
