Producer: Veuve Moisans
Grape varieties: exquisite cuvée of Chenin, Chardonay and Ugni Blanc grapes
Description: Particularly refreshing sparkling wine with a fruity and slightly sweet taste, made mainly from Chenin, Chardonnay and Cabernet Blanc grapes from a terroir with limestone soils. A really good sparkling wine semi-dry with a light golden colour, with sweet and fruity aromas. The harmonious combination of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc gives this sparkling wine a pale golden colour, soft floral aromas and a fresh, refined taste. Its vivacity is the result of a long ageing process with the grape stalks.
The producer: Distilerie des Moisans. The Moisans family business was founded by Monsieur Roland BRU in the 1960s. It all began with the purchase of the first vineyards. He followed in the footsteps of his father-in-law Georges Guimard, who came from a large family from Angoumoisine. Today, his daughter Véronique Legaret and grandson Roland, assisted by Olivier Petit, have taken over the management of this beautiful house.
The estate extends over 60 hectares in Fins Bois and Petite Champagne. This region of the AOC Cognac is particularly known for the full-bodiedness of the eaux-de-vie produced there. The ageing cellars are either buried in the ground or built on the hillside.
Special feature - Info Chardonnay: The white Chardonnay is a grape variety that originated in France (Burgundy). From it, a grape variety is bred that is specifically used for the production of wine. This grape variety is characterised by small grape sizes.
