Hojiblanca Olive: This olive variety is typical of the region around Cordoba and Granada. When entering the palate of this olive oil made from Hojiblanca olives, almost no bitterness is noticeable, yet you can taste the freshness of herbs and olive leaves. On the back palate, a slight, pleasant pungency develops, which is also reminiscent of artichoke, a characteristic feature of Hojiblanca olives. This olive is not very productive in terms of fat content. Therefore, almost twice as many olives are needed to produce 1 litre of olive oil.

Producer: De Ortegas is a pure family business with a clear commitment to controlled organic cultivation. The olives come from the two family-owned fincas "Los Charquillos" and "Hoya Hermosa". With this single-varietal Hojiblanca olive oil, the de Ortegas family demonstrates their traditional skills. It has received several awards from the international jury.

The single-varietal, deep green olive oil has a wide range of aromas. Among them fruity fresh grass, green tomato, artichoke and green banana. In the mouth, a vegetable-like aroma predominates. It starts very mild, almost sweet. Then changes to slightly bitter green fruits. In the finish, a hint of a scratchy throat and a nutty taste at the end. All in all, exceptional.

Taste: Medium pungency, little bitterness, round taste with many variations.

Perfect for salads and fish or with steak. Perfect for vegetables and cold dishes. Of course, the oil is also suitable for any cooking or frying.
