Hojiblanca Premium from the early October harvest is the result of the experience of the producer and the agricultural culture of the Alvarez family. An absolute top product that meets all the requirements of fresh Andalusian olive oil that you can expect.

Hojiblanca Olive: This olive variety is typical of the region around Cordoba and Granada. Upon entering the palate of this olive oil made from Hojiblanca olives, almost no bitterness is felt, yet the freshness of herbs and olive leaves can be tasted. In the back palate, a slight pleasant pungency develops, which also reminds one of artichoke, a characteristic feature of Hojiblanca olives. This olive is not very productive in fat content. Therefore, almost twice as many olives are needed to produce 1 liter of olive oil.

The oil is characterized by an extremely low acidity (< 0.20%) and a very high content of tocopherols.

Producer: The Escalera Alvares family comes from La Roda, Seville, in the province of Seville. For three generations, the family has been involved in agriculture and some small livestock farms. In 2003, the opportunity arose to acquire 76 hectares of land with a traditional farmhouse. Of the 76 hectares, 23 are traditional olive groves of the Hojiblanca variety. The farmhouse and the finca are named Cortijo de las Navas. They were the property of the heirs of the Marquise Soidos y Frómista. The Marquise was very popular with the people of the La Roda region, as she had helped many people and provided them with work in agriculture to work for their land.

The brand name ENTRECAMINOS means "between two roads" in Spanish. The finca is located exactly between two roads in the region, and this is how the organic extra virgin olive oil got its name.
